Limerick Voices Vol II

LVvol2This summer Music Generation Limerick City is embarking on a new musical adventure for teenage music makers.

Limerick Voices Vol II is a rolling project from June to August that will culminate in the release of a new album of original music.

This album will be the follow up to Limerick Voices Vol I, which was released in 2017 on Spotify, ITunes and in local record shops.

Limerick Voices Vol II is open to all teenagers who want to create their own music of any style. It will open with a five day session from Monday June 25- Friday June 29.

After that we will schedule writing and recording sessions in small groups for the following six weeks, working around any holiday or summer job commitments the young people may have.

The mentors for Vol II will combine the same team of artists that made Vol I such a success, plus new faces from the cream of the Irish music scene. In addition there will be workshops and visits from international performers and industry professionals.

Limerick Voices is supported by the LCETB, The Arts Council of Ireland, JP McManus Benevolent Fund, Limerick Regeneration and Music Generation.  There is no cost to the participants for this summer programme but registration is required, either on the first day or in advance by emailing noreen.hogan@lcetb.ie
